A Leeds firm, still run by the family that started it.

A scaffold coupler joining two tubes, against the sky

Northgate started with one lorry and two scaffolders in 1998. Today we have more than forty people, our own yard and a fleet of lorries, and the same rule: do the job properly and leave the site tidy.

Most of our customers come back, or come because someone told them to.

How we work

  • Designed first

Anything beyond a simple scaffold is designed before we build it, and the design comes with the quote.

  • Inspected and recorded

We hand over every scaffold with a certificate and inspect it every week it's up, with the record in writing.

  • Trained people

Our scaffolders hold the right card for the work they do, and our apprentices train on the job with us.
